Albanese growing public servants wages ever faster

Albanese growing public servants wages ever faster. By Thomas Henry in The Australian.

Fresh figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that the commonwealth public service headcount has swelled by 14.7 per cent since the Albanese government came to power, almost double the rate of the rest of non-public sector workforce, while its wages bill has blown out by 35 per cent over the same period.

Notice that the wages bill grew at over twice the rate of the headcount.

Team big government looks after its own. Maybe Fukuyama was right, and history ended when the Berlin Wall came down. The ideological tussle over, that’s when the left started a new life as a party of patronage.
