DEI officers cleaned out of the US Federal bureaucracy by Trump on a “DEI watchlist” that makes it hard to get a job. Karma. By Hannah Natanson and Andrew Ba Tran at The Washington Post.

Trump campaigned on trimming federal bureaucracy, which he declared was bloated with wasteful, lazy and incompetent workers. Within days of his inauguration, he enlisted billionaire Elon Musk to drive the cuts. Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service slashed across the government, cutting spending and eliminating jobs.

Of the hundreds of thousands who left, 85 percent resigned or retired early through incentive programs offered by the Trump administration, a Washington Post analysis found. Thirty-two thousand full-time workers were fired. Harris was one of them. …

Dia Harris is a 53-year-old former federal employee who served as the first Chief Equity Officer for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within the Department of Health and Human Services. Since losing his position, Harris has struggled to find comparable employment, submitting over 560 job applications by October 2026.

Dia, on the far left, was a sought-after HR expert who’d drawn six-figure salaries from Fortune 500 companies.

His job search has been significantly hindered by his inclusion on the “DEI Watchlist,” a public website run by the conservative American Accountability Foundation that profiles former federal employees accused of promoting DEI policies.

The list, which features his photo, salary, and employment history, has reportedly made him “unhirable” to prospective employers. Harris currently works part-time filling grocery orders at a Harris Teeter in Maryland for $16 an hour and has been drawing on his 401(k) to pay his mortgage.

The mass embrace of DEI programs felt to Harris like the capstone of his professional life, despite growing opposition from many on the political right who portrayed DEI efforts as reverse racism that disadvantaged White people.

Harris’s job search was made harder by his membership in an even smaller group: He’d been named, with 92 others — two-thirds of them Black — on a public website called the “DEI Watchlist.” …

Harris had been out of government for more than a year, but the site was still the first result when anyone Googled his name. One prospective employer confided to him that the watch list made him unhirable. Harris often checked with friends and colleagues also named on the list, and most of them were still out of work, too.

Now for a comment from the type of person to whom the media never gives a voice:

Sarah Braasch:

This thrills me to no end. I’m probably going to make $30K this year, because of what the Woke DEI Industry did to me (perpetrated an obviously asinine BLM race hoax against me, followed up by a global vilification campaign). This includes Yale, the NYT, and the Washington Post. I am struggling to stay housed.

While I’m thrilled that the Trump Admin is purging these Woke KKK Monsters, I just wish this banishment of Shaun King style race hustlers included Academia and the Press and the Democrats, as well as more of private industry. No one who perpetrated this anti-white racist monstrosity at Yale has been fired. There are thousands of Jason Ardays in Academia who must be fired, if not imprisoned, for SPLC style fraud and under the KKK Act. The Democrats, including AOC and Obama, are still, simultaneously, pretending Woke 1 was Crazy and trying to perpetrate new BLM race hoaxes (white people are lynching black children).

Commenter on the WaPo article:

What I love most about this article is how they try to glaze this guy as some sort of mythical champion of the downtrodden, when in reality he’s just another communist bureaucrat who was correctly purged from society’s power structure.

They think they’re writing a sympathetic puff piece for a “fallen hero”, when in truth they’re showing us that our side can actually do to them what he did to us and ours for his entire career.

Good riddance.
