Australia is slipping away from the US, but what about WA? By Celina101.
A strong Australia-America alliance only lasts if Australia stays a Western country. Mass immigration is destroying who we are, while new laws are taking away the right to say so. We don’t have a First Amendment.
If America wants an ally that will actually stand with it against China, it needs an Australia that still shares its people and its freedoms.

The other Australian states have recently been demanding more of Western Australia’s GST money. They currently take 25% of it, after it was capped in 2018. This is far more the most that has ever been taken from any other state (11%), but is still much less than the most they have ever taken from WA (69%).
So this got some Western Australians thinking. They looked at Alberta, which is soon to have a referendum on whether to leave Canada. And they noted that WA’s defense is mostly really provided by the USA, not by Australia. Hmmm, might it be time to switch federations?
Btw, under the Australian Constitution, states own their own mineral wealth. But smart Federal lawyers ignore this when claiming GST from WA, which is mostly due to mining. (Just like they ignore the part of the constitution that says a State “shall not … make anything but gold and silver coin a legal tender in payment of debts” — section 115.) Some Australian states are more hostile to mining than WA, so it they want more mineral wealth then perhaps they should make it much easier to explore and mine in their territory. Especially looking at you, Victoria.
