Donald Trump says widespread corruption in the counting of votes is stealing the election from him and must be stopped by the nation’s courts.
In an extraordinary press conference at the White House, the president accused a “corrupt Democratic machine” of systematically rigging vote counting to ensure a Joe Biden victory but didn’t offer any evidence to substantiate his claim.
“If you count the legal votes I easily win. If you count the illegal votes they can try to steal the election from us,” he said. …
Mr Trump cited a litany of allegations about Republican election observers being kept away from the count and mysterious ballot boxes appearing in the dead of night full of Biden votes. He claimed mail-in votes were being counted without postmarks or names attached to them. …
He said those workers counting votes in Democrat cities like Philadelphia and Detroit were “engineering the outcome of a presidential race.”
He said mail-in voting was a corrupt practice that was initiated by Democrats so they could manipulate the outcome. …
“We are hearing stories that are horror stories, and we can’t let that happen to the United States.”
Mr Trump complained of how his Election Night leads in Georgia and Pennsylvania all but vanished as mail-in votes came in.
The president said he would try to save the integrity of the election through the courts.
“There is a lot of litigation, there is a tremendous amount of litigation because of how unfair this process was,’ he said. …
Mr Trump said that when the courts examined the problems, he would end up winning the election fairly.
“We think we will win the election very easily,” he said.
Emerging theme:
- Democrats: Count every vote.
- Republicans: Count every legal vote.
Old GOP: “Republicans should have the good manners to have elections stolen from them with dignity.”
New GOP: “There is no dignity in accepting media rigging, polling deception, and voting irregularities, particularly without a fight.”
Romney would have conceded and apologized by now.
The total lack of action from virtually all of the “2024 GOP hopefuls” is pretty amazing.
They have a perfect platform to show that they’re willing & able to fight but they will cower to the media mob instead. …
Republicans have been weak for decades which has allowed for the left to do these things.

I already saw Russians laughing themselves silly over the brazen fraud of U.S. elections. Here’s a specimen:
Now the shoe is on the other foot, and some segments of Russian public cannot help being amused. The caption refers to American apologists who say “You don’t understand, that was different”.
It’s only a democracy if you can keep it.
And of course we’re seeing it perhaps slipping away.
First, I might have missed an error of some kind, but as I listened to Trump it seemed to me that everything he said was true.
Second, I agree with the president that pollsters deliberately reported bad results for most of this campaign cycle. Because of everything that has come to light in the last four years, I am much more cynical now than I was in 2016. Then, I assumed bad polling represented innocent errors. Now, I think that most pollsters, especially those associated with liberal media organizations like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and so on, deliberately reported absurd results in order to encourage Democratic Party fundraising, depress Republican fundraising, and demoralize Republican voters. Then in the last days before the election, when their goals had been more or less achieved, they released more realistic polls (albeit still wrong in most cases) and said Trump is catching up! I think the whole thing is deliberately engineered BS, and I am glad to hear Trump say it.
You know you’re a banana republic when even the Russian public are laughing at your election shenanigans.
