How to fix the the institutions.

I do not think most people truly grasp the scale of the problem here. The infection has metastasized to every institution in society. It is not only a matter of the movie studios, or the publishing houses, or the universities. It is everywhere. Nor is it only the senior leadership. Personnel at every level are infected.

Curing this will require something on the level of the French Revolution.

We will need to take everyone with a job at an elite institution, government department, or major company, and basically test them again to see if they deserved to get hired. Everyone with a job needs to reapply and demonstrate technical competence due to how deep the rot is.

When did the best man for the job get hired? After 2014, almost never. If someone has genuine technical competence, it’s almost completely incidental to their career survival in that position during the Woke era (2014-2024). We haven’t even begun to remedy the Soviet purges.

The first wave of DEI affirmative action came in 1965. The second wave came in the 1990s. The third wave came in 2010-2014, after the 2008 financial crisis and under Obama. Each wave was bigger and more intense than the prior ideological purge.
