Disappointed in Andrew Hastie. By March for Australia.
Andrew Hastie has betrayed the Australian people with his recent vote for restricting Freedom of Speech in Australia and destroyed almost all of his political capital in one night.
After publicly saying he would oppose the deeply flawed bill, he voted FOR it, even after labelling it ‘an attack on our basic democratic freedoms’…
The reality is that the bill would have passed either way, but Hastie’s actions are symbolic.
Our political class is filled with oath-breakers. Our own Home Affairs Minister, Tony Burke, publicly betrayed his wife and three young daughters when he destroyed his family by having an affair with his Chief of Staff.
These people lie and backstab and cheat their way to the top, which is why trust is so important. Hastie’s actions make it clear: YOU CANNOT TRUST ANDREW HASTIE. Hastie bent the knee, and he bent the knee on his principles. …
The Liberal party ship was already half submerged, and Hastie just tied himself to the cabin. For those holding out hope for him, we at March for Australia hope that you take this as the final nail in the coffin for the Dishonourable Andrew Hastie MP.
Even if he defected from the party today, he still could not be trusted. This vote will follow Hastie around for a long time. …
The Liberals will probably replace Ley as leader in the coming months, maybe with someone like Angus Taylor MP, hoping to trick you into voting for them whilst remaining the exact same. Maybe they will even have Hastie film a few more videos in front of Holdens or have Senator Michaelia Cash put on her fake accent. We can all see through it by now.

Hastie changing the direction of conservative politics in Australia
In his early days as a minister under Howard, Tony Abbott used to go along with the establishment, expressing the view that bigger government is ok as long as people like him were in charge. Only later did he realize that no, in fact big government itself is the problem, if only because the wrong people end up in charge at least some of the time (and nearly 100% of the time in a globalist society like ours).
So, give Hastie time. Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater just yet.
