America has not been trying. By Roman Helmet Guy.
We bully our smart kids. We spend 1000 times more on special education than gifted and talented programs. We eliminated honors classes in the name of equality. We even came up with a replacement for phonics so stupid that half our kids can’t read.
Then we take the smartest kids that survive this system, and we racially and sexually discriminate against them for entry into college. Then we do that again when they apply for their first job. And again for every job after that. Then we undercut them in favor of foreign labor that’ll do worse work for cheaper.
Most kids see this and just say “fuck it” and focus on sports, or trying to be an influencer, or just give up on trying altogether.
Meanwhile in places like China every kid spends 16 hours a day studying trig tables or gets the belt….
There is so much latent potential in the American people. We have tried before. We crossed a continent and carved this country out of clay. We recrossed the oceans and conquered the world by accident as a favor to our friends.
One day (hopefully soon), we are going to start trying again. America will wake up.
Leftism torpedoed America and the West. By Roko.
Modern Leftism has always been about the destruction of the middle, of the successful: destruction of white people, and of any capable people in their homeland (e.g. Japan). Destruction of the middle class.
Destruction of religion, of the family, of trust. Destruction of good gender relations. False rape accusations, no fault divorce, migrant sex attackers let loose and set free. Housewives taken from their children. Divorced men on the street. Destruction of meritocracy, destruction of standardized tests. Destruction of startups, destruction of small business.
Destruction of the gene pool; dysgenics, infertility, propagation of broken strains. The productive taxed to breaking point and used to subsidize the broken and the drug addicts.
Destruction of morality itself: evil as good, good as evil. Obliging good people to self-destruct and lichenising bad people to expand.
Destruction of technological progress. Industry made illegal because of climate fearmongering, or overpopulation fearmongering. Banning expansion into space. Banning AI.
This has been their emergent goal since something like the 1850s. Leftism is civilization cancer, and it has nearly finished killing us.
I’m not saying that leftism is a memetic weapon deployed by a Dark Forest alien power intent on inducing humanity to conquer and wipe itself out in the most efficient, lowest-energy fashion possible, but if it was, it’s hard to see how it would be any different.
Wasting talent in the name of DEI. By Martin Skold.
There is a mathematical likelihood of >300,000 American citizens with >145 IQs, presumably 2/3 of whom are working age.

Question is where are they, and what are they doing right now?
In the World Wars the War Department scoured the universities for professors who could help — everything from nuclear physicists and rocket scientists to military historians to psychologists and literature professors who could help with propaganda and influence ops.
If you wanted to do that this round, you’d be hard-pressed — that talent either didn’t get developed, was fired, or was forced to produce garbage until it lost all credibility and purpose.
I could introduce you to 10 of those people without batting an eye. They’re around, and completely underutilized.
One is a high school guidance counselor.
One is a subsistence farmer who sells leather goods on the side.
One is a private piano tutor.
One is a retired inventor who mixes sound for live bands in dive bars.
One is a busker and freelance consultant.
One makes his living from a 12 cow dairy farm.
One is a truck driver.
One is an itinerant house framer.
One is a theater manager who works on the relationship between chaos mathematics and the occult in his free time.
One builds meditation timers in a rented shed, and sells them on Etsy.
One is a former designer who now volunteers at a thrift store.
One is a data scientist. All but one are younger than 55. Most are under 45. Most have college degrees. Three are Ph.Ds. or equivalent. Many have also written books. Many have been guest speakers at prestigious venues.
All are working well below their capacity in their professional lives.
And, with two exceptions, every single one of them regularly struggles to make ends meet.
