Some Consequences of the US Sellout of Ukraine

Lockheed Martin’s share price is well down from its highs late last year:

While Rheinmetall’s share price has tripled over the same period:

Rheinmetall’s investment outperformance is 350% in the last few months.

A retired US military officer with a background in air defence provides some explanation for the divergence in performance:

  1. The US made a deal with Ukraine to give up weapons and equipment to the US and Russia in the 1990s. We took thousands of weapons and some nukes.
  2. By not standing behind our promises many nations will get nukes now, and no one will ever give them up.
  3. The gear we are sending to Ukraine is our old rusty gear that we will never use again and have to pay to scrap.
  4. On average for every 1 billion in old shit we send to Ukraine we get about 15 billion in new contracts from Ukraine and Europe. Now that we have stopped, Europe is now halting purchases of US gear… this will cost us over 1.5 trillion going forward.  And the “money” that we are sending, it’s not real money… again it’s the value of old shit we have rusting in the desert IF we were to replace it with new crap.. we are not. So its fake numbers…
  5. Europe is going to ask us to leave Europe, this will mean we have no way to fly to the Mid East or Africa with fully loaded aircraft. We will no longer be able to project power. And no longer be a world superpower.
  6. Europe and Canada will halt purchasing our gear, right now Canada and Europe are in talks with South Korea to build plants to replace all the US gear that we thought we would sell them. That’s about 1 million US jobs lost.
  7. Europe is about to stop selling us weapons and prohibit the US from selling or transferring many of our weapons. Items with MAJOR overseas parts are…
      • M1 Abrams (German and Belgian guns)
      • M2 Bradley (Japanese and Belgian parts)
      • M10 Booker (Spanish made)
      • Stryker (Canadian made)
      • new marine vehicle (Italian)
      • every US machine gun (Belgian and German)
      • and the F35 (35% made in Canada and Europe)
      • every artillery system (British)
      • light antitank systems (Swedish)
      • and on and on….
  8. And by the way Ukraine has earned our support, dumb asses. They lost over 20 guys KIA, and 200+ WIA in Afghanistan, and Iraq fighting under the US flag. Ukraine was one of the FIRST countries to join the attack on Afghanistan. We used them as trainers for the US special forces early on to teach us about warfare there. They supported us, they helped us, they died for us.. So please just stop.

The fact is that the US has not made a 100% US weapon in nearly 60 years … and building new 100% us systems will cost over 1 trillion. New plants, new IP, new workers… would take 20-30 years to do…

But hey yeah, let’s not send our old gear and have to pay for it… that would save maybe 10 billion….. and lose over 1.5 trillion… and our standing as a world super power. But whatever, again you guys are not serious.

If you think fighting China will be hard, try it without NATO and Asia. That’s where we are heading.
