Western Europe’s Muslim population has been expanding rapidly for many years. Their number was 25 million (5 per cent of the population) at the last count in 2016, up from 19.5 million (3.8 per cent) just six years earlier in 2010. Pew Research expects the number to rise to between 11 and 14 per cent by 2050, with Muslim populations up to 20 per cent in most of north-western Europe, with Sweden up to 30 per cent.

Henry Kissinger on a visit to Germany — where a synagogue has been fire-bombed and Jews have been warned against entering certain neighbourhoods wearing kippahs — has said that Berlin made a ‘grave mistake to let in so many people of totally different culture and religion’. Kissinger was referring to Angela Merkel’s decision to throw open Germany’s doors to over a million Third World migrants in 2015-16.

Muhammad led a religion for a decade, with hardly any followers. Islam only became popular when he switched tactics to violence, and started attacking Jewish merchants and distributing their goods to his followers.
