The core left-wing persuasion tactics is simply name-calling, saying anyone who isn’t with them is a bad person:

The left can’t do humor much because humor involves pain and truth.

And they cannot be sympathetic to non left-wingers because they see them only as bad people, and are deadly afraid of being called a bad person by their fellow left wingers.

It’s not symmetric.
