Just youths and social media. No Islam, no migrants. No mention of the traffic stop, or that the police said Nahel drove off which bumped the officer’s gun from aiming at his legs to aiming at his chest. No mention that Nahel was known to police.

Nahel was a boy known to the police. Despite his young age, the 17-year-old teenager, killed during a road check on Tuesday June 27, was not on his first try. The teenager, driving that day in a Mercedes registered with a Polish license plate, which he was driving without a license, had already been the subject of twelve arrests for various offenses, according to concordant sources.
