AI finds conservative women more attractive and happier in photos. By Jack Hobbs.
Published in the Nature-owned journal Scientific Reports in March, the research found AI can predict a person’s political ideology with 61% accuracy by analyzing just one headshot.
The scientists inputted about 3,200 publicly submitted photos of political candidates who ran in the 2017 Danish municipal election into Microsoft Azure’s Face API tool to assess the person’s emotional state.
The analysis found 80% of the faces displayed a happy expression, while 19% read as neutral.
“For females (though not males), high attractiveness scores were found among those the model identified as likely to be conservative,” read the findings. “These results are credible given that previous research using human raters has also highlighted a link between attractiveness and conservatism.” …
“Attractiveness was not the only correlate of model-predicted ideology,” the scientists explained. “We also found that expressing happiness is associated with conservatism for both genders.

Research has found that being attractive influences many things in a person’s life — their salary, their popularity and grades in school, even the prison sentences they receive. So why not their politics?
A recently published study in the Journal of Public Economics concludes that the attractiveness of a candidate does correlate with their politics. They find that politicians on the right are more good looking in Europe, the United States and Australia. …
The researchers also offer a more general psychological explanation for the trend: That good-looking people are often treated better than others, and thus see the world as a more just place. Past studies have found that the more attractive people believe themselves to be, the lower their preference for egalitarianism, a value typically associated with the political left.
Could it be because conservative women generally drink less, don’t do drugs, live a healthy lifestyle, are more emotionally mature and have the capacity to handle caring for a family?
Liberal women tend to claim a healthy lifestyle but are usually more prone to alcohol and drugs and tend to think of relationships as fleeting, and are usually more focused on their own needs more than others. Basically liberal women are more likely to be the party girl and pretty much impossible to please…..
Women closer to the conservative side of the spectrum are better wifey material, the kind of girl you can take to meet your parents. Women on the more Liberal side of the spectrum tend to be the girl you have a good time with but never get serious, they just aren’t the type of woman that a typical dude would want to settle down with from my experience and general observation.
If there was a strong correlation, do you suppose any university or researcher would dare publish it? Of course not, it would be buried alongside the IQ and race data.
