If the FBI refuses to answer to Congress, just who do they answer to?
This part of the US bureaucracy is brazenly outside the control of the American people.
But Congress will do nothing. Republicans will make a few speeches, do some fund raising, but basically leave the bureaucracy to get on with running the country.
Remember the movie 2001: A space odyssey? Hal the artificial intelligence politely apologizes while murdering astronauts aboard the Discovery One space craft: “I’m sorry, Dave, I can’t do that”.
Thus, the FBI have confirmed that Ray Epps is a Fed and that FBI agents helped foment the Jan 6 riot. And Congress has confirmed that they will sit there and do nothing.
