Australia’s medicines regulator has banned general practitioners from prescribing Ivermectin tablets for Covid-19.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration says GPs are now only able to prescribe Ivermectin for approved conditions including scabies and certain parasitic infections.

Not because ivermectin is harmful, but because of political concerns:

“These changes have been introduced because of concerns with the prescribing of oral Ivermectin for the claimed prevention or treatment of Covid-19,” the TGA said in a statement on Friday.

As of last night. Just this morning I went to two pharmacies to fill a script for ivermectin (one hundred 36mg tablets, which my doctor and I had discussed was suitable for me in my situation), but was told that a new rule came in overnight to only dispense ivermectin in 3mg tablets, and no more than three months’ supply.

Indians can have it, but not Australians.

Vaccines only for Australians, regardless of choice or existing conditions. One rule for all. This is the administrative state’s prescription for reducing hospital overload. Haven’t they noticed that India and many other countries are beating covid with ivermectin, faster and more effectively than countries going the vaccine route? Why do they still insist that ivermectin is ineffective against covid, when the evidence demonstrating its effectiveness is now mountainous? Did Pfizer et al. panic them into signing contracts that insist they stomp out any alternatives to vaccines?

The TGA said there had been a significant increase in the amount of Ivermectin prescriptions dispensed in recent months, leading to shortages for those who need the medicine for scabies and parasite infections.

Oh sure. It’s as cheap as chips, so they could just make more, in response to the swelling demand.

“There are a number of significant public health risks associated with taking Ivermectin in an attempt to prevent Covid-19 infection rather than getting vaccinated,” the TGA said.

Namely that people won’t get vaccinated because they’d prefer the ivermectin route. Our bodies, our choice.

Ivermectin is not approved for use for Covid-19 in Australia or in other developed countries.
