The rise in people using ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug usually reserved for deworming horses or livestock, as a treatment or preventative for Covid-19 has emergency rooms “so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting” access to health facilities, an emergency room doctor in Oklahoma said.
This week, Dr. Jason McElyea told KFOR the overdoses are causing backlogs in rural hospitals, leaving both beds and ambulance services scarce. …
People getting sick from ivermectin — especially as some people take a formulation of the drug used in livestock — has become so frequent that this month the Food and Drug Administration released a statement imploring Americans to stay away from the drug that has not been approved to treat or prevent Covid-19. …
As people take the drug, McElyea said patients have arrived at hospitals with negative reactions like nausea, vomiting, muscle aches, and cramping — or even loss of sight.
“The scariest one that I’ve heard of and seen is people coming in with vision loss,” the doctor said.
Sounds bad. Because the left wing politicized covid right from the start, and in the left wing narrative only vaccines are approved, Dr. McElyea’s warnings went viral among left wing influencers — including Rachael Maddow:
She’s got an audience of millions of people and couldn’t be bothered to even look into a story that pretty obviously doesn’t pass the sniff test. pic.twitter.com/t6sFrXDzrt

But some people checked. Which led to the hospital McElyea worked for — NHS Sequoyah, located in Sallisaw, Oklahoma — issuing this statement:
Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room.
With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months.
NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose.
So it was a hoax. Fake news.
The Rolling Stone has kept its original story up (!), but now simply adds the hospital’s denials as an “update”. Talk about really wanting the hoax to be true. Remember Rolling Stone’s huge story in 2014 about an alleged rape at the University of Virginia — a brutal gang-rape by seven men “while other fraternity brothers looked on” — that turned out to be a complete hoax? They’ve done it again.
Like the MSM — “layers and layers of fact checkers and editors” — the Rolling Stone has lost its credibility. It prints what it wants to be true, without checking that it is in fact true. They are just a propaganda tool, not a news organization.
But it’s the left wing vibe. From Tyler Durden:
You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it. https://t.co/TWb75xYEY4

This absurd tweet from the Democrat-run federal agency patently ignores the fact that Ivermectin has been prescribed for humans for over 35 years, while several studies have shown efficacy in treating early-stage Covid-19 infections.
It didn’t matter. The message from the Biden administration was clear; ivermectin is a horse dewormer taken by idiots, and the left now had official license to make fun of ‘right-wing anti-vaxxers’ for using it to treat coronavirus.
