The woke are taking over the police. “Defunding the police” really means taking control of the police out of the hands of locally elected officials (perhaps via defunding). The replacement police force will be run by a state or Federal bureaucracy — which the left controls and is immune from elections or other interference by the population. Meanwhile, purging the current police force of officers who aren’t sufficiently woke is beginning.
A similar takeover of the military has already occurred. Notice how the left stopped criticizing the military a decade or two ago? That’s because they own it now. All officers above rank of about major or equivalent have been political for two decades now, so the military leadership is safely “progressive.” Officer training academies are now woke. Purging the non-woke enlisted men in the military is now underway.
