Only one state flipped so far: Arizona for Biden. That reduces the 306 electoral college votes for Trump in 2016 by 11, to 295. Needed to win: 270.
Biden almost declares victory:
But look, we feel good about where we are. We really do. I’m here to tell you tonight we feel confident we are going to win this election.”
“We believe we’re on track to win this election,” Biden says.
“We can know the results as early as tomorrow morning but it may take a little longer. As I’ve said all along it’s not my place or Donald Trump’s place to say who wins the election, it’s up to the American people.”
“Keep the faith guys! We’re going to win this”
So, the Democrats are saying their guy will win. How do they know? There are a lot of votes still to count, and Trump is ahead in the crucial states. Do they know something about counting votes that is not public?
Trump responds with a tweet (which was promptly censored by Twitter), in which he reckons he has almost won:
Trump then also declared victory:
We were winning everything, and all of a sudden it was called off …
They knew they couldn’t win, so they said “let’s go to court”. …
This is a fraud on the American public. …
Frankly, we did win this election …
We will be going to the US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop. We don’t want to find any ballots at 4 o’clock in the morning and add them to the list …
We will win this, and as far as I’m concerned we already have won it.
Oh dear. The losing side is not going to accept this, when they eventually find out.
