Violent riots erupt in Malmo, Sweden after Koran-torching stunt, police say they have ‘no control’ over situation

Violent riots erupt in Malmo, Sweden after Koran-torching stunt, police say they have ‘no control’ over situation, by RT.

A wave of chaotic unrest broke out in Malmo, Sweden after anti-Islam activists filmed a public Koran burning, sparking protests that soon descended into riots, with unruly demonstrators setting fires and clashing with police.

Some 300 people gathered along a main thoroughfare in Malmo on Friday around 7:30pm local time to protest after members of a far-right political party staged a Koran burning earlier in the day, according to local press reports. As the crowd grew, fires were ignited in the street and several cars torched, prompting a heavy police response that struggled to bring the situation under control.

“We have ongoing and violent riots right now that we have no control over,” police spokesman Rickard Lundqvist told a local news outlet amid the disorder. …

Clashes erupted between protesters and law enforcement in Malmo’s Rosengard district, seeing stones, paving bricks and fireworks hurled at officers and emergency response vehicles. …

Chants of “Allahu akbar” [“Our God is Greatest”] … could be heard in footage that circulated online, which also showed tires and other debris burned in the street and a billowing column of black smoke rising into the night sky. A major fire was also reported in an underground parking garage in Rosengard, about 1km away from the main area of unrest.

Tribal warfare with Islam.

BLM mob attacks Rand Paul

BLM mob attacks Rand Paul, by Paul Mirengoff.

Sen. Rand Paul was confronted by an angry BLM mob after he left the White House following President Trump’s speech. The Senator and his wife required police protection to get to their hotel. He says that without the protection he might have been killed. …

As with the mob rampage at D.C. restaurants earlier in the week, this gang tried to force particular speech. The restaurant thugs coerced diners into holding up their fists. Anyone who refused was harangued and harassed.

This time, the fledgling brown shirts demanded that Sen. Paul say Breonna Taylor’s name. … Ironically, Sen. Paul, a libertarian, is the sponsor of the “Justice for Breonna Taylor” Act to do away with “no knock” police raids like the one during which Taylor died. Paul, though, refused to accede to the mob’s demand that he say Taylor’s name. He kept on walking.

It wouldn’t have mattered if Paul had explained his Act to the mob. Its members aren’t interested in changing police behavior. They want to get rid of the police and to physically attack people who disagree with their radical far-left politics.

Paul believes the group that confronted him was paid and brought in from out of town. Maybe.

Rand Paul’s wife, Kelley Paul, who was with him, writes:

Thursday night felt like being in a terrifying dystopian novel. The mob swarmed me and my husband, Sen. Rand Paul, in a tight circle, screaming expletives, threats, and shouting, “Say her name.” We rushed up to two police officers, and I believe that is the only thing that kept us from being knocked to the ground. Even pressed against the officers, we were greatly outnumbered.

As the mob grew and became more threatening, we literally could not move, and neither could the two officers for several minutes. The rioters were inches from us, screaming in our faces.

That was the worst part. At first, I attempted to meet the eyes of one of the protesters and tried to explain that Rand authored the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act, but it seemed to just infuriate them more, as they called me a “bitch” and “racist wh—” alongside an endless torrent of “f— yous.”

Mobs are terrifying. They looked at us with no humanity — just a vicious and righteous zeal. After that, I just kept my eyes down and prayed. All I could think of was the driver who was pulled from his car, viciously kicked in the head and left lying in his own blood in Portland, Oregon, last week.

Now the Associated Press is reporting that Rand used the word “attack” to describe our ordeal “without evidence.” This is disgusting and utter proof of their bias.

When you are surrounded by throngs of people screaming in your face and preventing you from getting away, that is an attack.

After several harrowing minutes, additional officers arrived with bikes and surrounded us to create a moving barricade to escort us to safety. …

Several of our friends were also attacked trying to make it to their hotels last night, including one who had his glasses slapped off his face, another who was pepper-sprayed by a rioter, and a woman who was punched in the back. …

In the last three years, my husband was shot at by the Bernie Sanders supporter who nearly killed Rep. Steve Scalise, had six ribs broken and his lung damaged by a vocal internet hater of President Trump, and endured numerous death threats against him and our family. An MSNBC reporter literally said on air, laughing, that Rand’s assault was her favorite news story of the week. She was hardly criticized or made to apologize, let alone fired.

Sheltering from reality in their media echo chamber and their universities, the left are furious in their ignorant righteousness. They feel their violence is justified. They are not ashamed or apologetic.

They will not accept facts or argument from outside, so we are doomed to have to put up with their escalating violence until they are physically stopped, their morale broken, and they surrender.

Shy Voters: Over 10% Of Trump Voters Won’t Admit Preferences To Pollsters

Shy Voters: Over 10% Of Trump Voters Won’t Admit Preferences To Pollsters, by Tyler Durden.

A new study from CloudResearch reveals that 11.7% of Republicans won’t admit their political preferences to pollsters – which is more than twice the number of Democrats at just 5.4%.

CloudResearch also found that “10.5% of Independents fell into the “shy voter” category, just a percentage point lower than how Republicans react to phone polls.”

When asked why they wouldn’t be truthful in their responses, “shy” respondents cited six concerns:

  1. A lack of trust in phone polls as truly being anonymous.
  2. An apprehension to associate their phone numbers with recorded responses.
  3. Fear that their responses will become public in some manner.
  4. Fear of reprisal and related detrimental impact to their financial, social, and family lives should their political opinions become publicly known.
  5. A general dislike of phone polls.
  6. Malicious intent to mislead polls due to general distrust of media and political pundits (though a sentiment expressed only by a few “shy voters”). …

Who can blame the silent majority — with Trump supporters having been actively targeted with violence and harassment in restaurants, at their homes, and walking in public.

Between egregious oversampling of Democrats by polling companies, and Republicans won’t admit to supporting Trump, it’s no wonder the polls have been dead wrong since 2016.

The most prominent non-PC news at the moment is nearly all about political violence against traditional native white populations. At last, something different!

The odds on Trump winning the election from RealClearPolitics show betting, not polls (but remember that many bettors are informed by the polls, so even the betting odds are also biased against Trump):

Two dead, one injured on the streets of Kenosha as dramatic videos capture gunman shooting at BLM protesters during clashes with militias guarding gas stations after wave of looting

Two dead, one injured on the streets of Kenosha as dramatic videos capture gunman shooting at BLM protesters during clashes with militias guarding gas stations after wave of looting. By Ryan Fahey.

One victim was shot in the head and another was shot in the chest at about 11.45pm on Tuesday, according to Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth. A third man was shot in the arm but his wounds were not believed to life-threatening. …

The gunman [Kyle Rittenhouse] walked up to police with his hands in the air and his semi-automatic rifle slung across his body just moments after the shooting.  ..

The videos show the man with the gun stumbling and falling in the street before one pursuer took a flying kick at him, while another appeared to strike him with a skateboard.

The gunman fired three of four shots from a seated position, hitting at least two people, including one who fell over clutching his chest and another who stumbled away putting pressure on his arm, according to the videos. …

The second killing got caught on video:

A witness, Julio Rosas, 24, said that when the gunman stumbled and fell, ‘two people jumped onto him and there was a struggle for control of his rifle. At that point during the struggle, he just began to fire multiple rounds and that dispersed people near him.’

‘The rifle was being jerked around in all directions while it was being fired,’ Rosas said. …

Oops, “shot” in arm.

Police said they fear that the shooting stemmed from a conflict between ‘self-styled militias’ defending local businesses from looters amid the ongoing unrest over the shooting of Jacob Blake. …

Several civilians were carrying weapons during the protests on Tuesday night and the gunman was believed to have been guarding a local car shop at some point prior to the shootings, according to videos posted online.

The so-called militias have had weapons slung over their shoulders or at the ready while standing guard outside businesses to protect them from looters or arsonists. …

Joe Biden finally breaks silence on urban violence, too late

Joe Biden finally breaks silence on urban violence, too late. By Michael Goodwin.

For the first time in three days, the biggest political news of the day didn’t come out of the Republican convention. It came out of a basement in Delaware.

Joe Biden finally raised an objection to the riots, arson, murder and looting tearing apart American cities. To be sure, his wasn’t a strong voice, but at least he finally broke his silence.

“The needless violence won’t heal us,” the Democrats’ nominee said in a statement focused mostly on the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wis.

It’s very little, and very late, maybe even too late to save his campaign.

Dems made what I believe to be a historic error in failing to say a single word — a single word — about the national urban crisis during their convention last week. They said nothing about the violence and the tent cities of homeless popping up everywhere, yet embraced the Black Lives Matter movement, frequently criticized the police and romanced protesters as a new wave of selfless heroes.

But what the nation is witnessing is not protest and it is certainly not heroic. It is a generational assault on America’s founding principles and our modern way of life. Murder and arson do not bring about social justice.

The left were prepared to allow riots in order to prevent Trump being re-elected. Now that the polls show their scheme backfiring, they are reversing. How cynical.

The polls are starting to shift — two now have President Trump’s approval rating over 50 percent — and other Dems, including the mayor of Washington, suddenly are calling for an end to the violence.

The impact is so serious that even CNN anchor Don Lemon is worried about Biden’s chances, leading him to say, “The rioting has to stop.”

That’s the left-wing media in a nutshell. They supported the “protesters” until it started to backfire on their candidate. Now it has to stop or President Trump will be re-elected.

Not that it has to stop because it’s destructive and leading to deaths. Only because it’s bad for their candidate.

Another threshold on the way to war was breached in Kenosha

Another threshold on the way to war was breached in Kenosha, by the Z-Man.

Kenosha Wisconsin has now become the pivot point for the revolution from above being waged on middle America.

Riots have convulsed the city for three nights since a violent black rapist was shot by police after resisting arrest. Large swaths of the city have been burned as the mayor cheered on the rioters. This led to the shooting of three rioters by a 17-year old kid, who volunteered to help defend the property owners. The video of the incident has become a world-wide sensation.

Of course, this being Jim Snow America, the white kid is now charged with capital murder and faces life in prison. White people who kill in self-defense get charged with capital murder, while blacks who kill for sport are allowed to go free. You see, the former is exercising white privilege and is guilty of being white. The latter, on the other hand, is the victim of white privilege and is justifiably angry. In post-reality America, privilege means being stripped of your rights and dignity.

If Kyle Rittenhouse was a black or an immigrant from the third world or even a transexual, he would not be in jail right now. He would be held up as a hero by the mainstream media. President Trump would send Air Force One to bring him to Washington for a special ceremony. Speakers at the RNC convention would be told to mention his name in their speeches. He is white, so no one at the convention will mention his name. They have not mentioned Cannon Hinnant either.

Unlike other cases where the media can suppress the truth while spreading lies, this time the truth was all over the internet before the media could act. As soon as it happened, social media had video of the attack on Rittenhouse. He fell to the ground as violent criminals attacked him and he opened fire on them. There can be no narrative in which he is the villain. He may have been naive, but he was simply following the civic nationalist code and doing what he thought was his duty. …

His family started a defense fund on Go Fund Me, but it was immediately taken down. Again, in Jim Snow America, whites are not allowed to avail themselves of the resources for self-defense. The system will now wage war on this kid’s family in order to prevent them from defending their son. In Jim Snow America, white people just have to take it. …

Of course, in a sane society, it would never have come to this. There would be no riots sponsored by the ruling class, so Kyle Rittenhouse would not have felt the need to go out in the streets. The reason all of this happened is the rulers made it happen. …

Those old rules you were taught about the law and your rights as an American no longer exist. They certainly don’t exist if you are white. If you are white, the system sees you as an enemy and will spare no expense in attacking you. The reason Kyle Rittenhouse sits in jail is no one told him this. Instead, internet warriors playing tough guy on-line encouraged him to be a man of action. …

None of this would be happening if not for the political class. The Kenosha police department has tanks and armored vehicles. They have highly trained tactical units that are trained by Israel special forces officers. The Kenosha police force could invade a small country, but they are nowhere to be found during these riots. The reason they are absent is the politicians have ordered them to let the riots rage. …

Remember when Obama said that Trayvon Martin reminded him of what his son would look like, if he had one?

For the typical white person, if he had a son, he would look like Kyle Rittenhouse.

Ultimately, that is now the significance of the Kenosha riots. White people are faced with the reality of their sons being sent to prison for the crime of being white. They face having their businesses destroyed because non-whites are ungrateful.

They are being harassed at restaurants and in their home by mobs sponsored by the ruling class who have embraced anti-whiteness as a revolutionary cause. It’s no longer an abstract political argument. It’s daily reality.

The tribalism that became inevitable when the left changed course from championing the working class to being a coalition of identity groups is becoming very real now.

Shooting in Kenosha Just the Beginning of Civil War in America, Says Prediction Expert Scott Adams

Shooting in Kenosha Just the Beginning of Civil War in America, Says Prediction Expert Scott Adams. By Megan Fox.

Anyone could have seen this coming. The question that should be asked after an armed man shot two rioters on the streets of Kenosha is, what did you expect?

Here’s the scenario: mobs of criminals are torching and looting the private businesses of Americans all over the country and local law enforcement won’t stop them. Not only will they not stop them but anyone who is arrested is released immediately to do it all over again the next night (see Portland).

The political leaders on one side are egging them on:

Kamala, who is possibly effectively the next president, smiles in excitement as she says her side’s political thugs “are not going let up and they should not,” even after election day.

Did you expect that this could go on without more violence? How did you think it would end? Where was this going — social change to utopia? Cities are burning. New York City is now a place no retailer will go. How much more of this did you think people would take?

Here’s the bad news. Kyle Rittenhouse, whom we know nothing about, is only the beginning of what is to come. It’s going to get much worse …

Any speculation on Rittenhouse’s motives is total stupidity in the fog of war when facts are indecipherable from lies. Don’t attempt it.

Let us just look at the general climate in which this tragedy occurred. … If you go out to protest in an environment where you know there is looting and mayhem, I don’t care what happens to you. Not even a little. Photographic evidence appears to point to self-defense. It’s too soon to tell but it appears from these photographs that at least one of the people who was shot was holding a gun. …

A video shows the alleged shooter saying he was there to protect private property. There is no evidence that any press outlet can find to prove that he is a “white supremacist,” as is being alleged all over social media. He could just be a person concerned about escalating violence and no law enforcement stopping it who got fed up waiting for the adults in the room to do their jobs.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide. …

Mobs are accosting diners and demanding they display the Communist fist. Do you think this is going to end the way the mobs want it to? How many of you would rather be dead than Red? Make a choice now because this is where we are in the timeline of human events. Your time to make a choice is running out. The mob is perfectly willing to do it for you. …

I don’t want to live in a hot civil war but there is no other outcome if this continues. People are not going to lay down and let the mob destroy, maim, or kill them or tear down their livelihoods. They will go to jail willingly first. There will be blood running in the streets before America allows criminals posing as activists to undo the fabric of their lives.

This trend is taking the US to the edge.

I Can’t Stop This Feeling

I Can’t Stop This Feeling, by Liel Leibovitz.

I watched the second night of the Republican National Convention the same way you fall in love or go bankrupt: gradually, but then suddenly stricken by a strange and somewhat inexplicable premonition. It was this: Donald John Trump is going to win in November, and win big.

Yeah, I know all about the polls …

And yet, as Trump’s first surprise election ought to have taught us by now, when it comes to modern American politics, the only principle that truly matters is the Ooga Chaka principle: We vote for the candidate who gets us hooked on a feeling and high on believing.

Last week, the Democrats used their convention to deliver three key messages: Joe Biden is a very decent person; Joe Biden is not Donald Trump, who is not a very decent person; and, being both a very decent person and not-Donald-Trump, Joe Biden is passionate about amplifying the voices of women and minorities, which is one important way to prove both your decency and your not-Trumpiness.

Who, precisely, might get hooked by these messages, and on what feeling? That Biden is a decent person is indisputable anywhere outside the airless quarters of the most quarrelsome partisans. That he shares little with the man he hopes to defeat is obvious — by now, Trump’s fans and detractors alike have very few misconceptions about the man’s character. That leaves us with the DNC’s heavy schmear of identity politics, a sentiment that doubtless resonates with the party’s educated, affluent base but says very little to those weary Americans who wonder why their cities are burning and why on earth anyone would ever want to defund the police.

The RNC, on the other hand, had a much more hearty offering on hand. It had no actors, singers, comedians, billionaires, academics, or former presidents present to offer perfectly polished paeans to character. Instead, it had people of faith affirming the singular importance of safeguarding the freedom of religion; immigrants affirming the notion, not controversial until very recently, that an American citizenship was an exceptional honor, not a universal right; blue-collar workers affirming the all-American reliance on small businesses, not tech behemoths; law enforcement officials affirming the foundational truth that, in America, when we disagree, we talk things over, not burn things down; and African Americans affirming the belief, central to the thinking of Martin Luther King Jr. and entirely alien to the current crop of race hustlers, that it’s the content of one’s character, not the color of one’s skin, that ought to matter. …

This is … to say that it’s becoming increasingly more clear that the Democrats’ real problem isn’t the party’s aging candidate or its rambunctious left flank but, rather, its relationship with reality itself. …

To hear the pundits tell it, the RNC is one part Thunderdome, one part plantation owners’ meeting, a series of dark and stormy nights dedicated to hating anyone or anything that isn’t white, rich, and smug. …

For better or worse, Americans want something — anything — else. Many dislike Donald Trump, and so will not vote for him no matter what. But many more, when in the privacy of the voting booth, will do what voters so often do and vote for the party that looks — and feels — more like them, and that can get them high on believing in an America that looks like the one they know and love — an imperfect but good nation ever slouching toward a brighter tomorrow. These last two nights, the RNC has made a very convincing case why that party may very well be the party of Abraham Lincoln and Donald Trump.

The theme of this blog is political correctness versus reality. Nobody wins against reality, not in the long term.

Bad Marriage, Australia to blame

Bad Marriage, Australia to blame. By Ben Packham.

The worsening relationship between China and Australia is like a bad marriage where one partner is almost entirely to blame, according to Beijing’s deputy ambassador in Canberra, who delivered an astonishing speech on Wednesday in which he labelled Australia as treacherous and disrespectful.

Wang Xining said Australia had betrayed China by calling for an independent inquiry into the origins of the coronavirus — even comparing the disloyalty to a Shakespearean tragedy — before he delivered a bizarre defence of Beijing’s growing political and cultural presence in Australia, and dismissed questions about his country’s controversial Thousand Talents Plan. …

Mr Wang said Australia was responsible for the worsening relationship between the countries, declaring China respected Australia and “naturally, China expects reciprocity”.

“China does not interfere in Australia’s internal affairs, nor do we have any intention to change Australia’s political and social culture,” he said.

“We are not trying to replace your prime minister with a presidential system. We are not asking Hungry Jack’s to sell Chinese dumplings.”

How come communism has always involved having to accept utter nonsense as truths?

Unscripted Beijing’s theatre of the absurd

Unscripted Beijing’s theatre of the absurd, by Greg Sheridan.

China’s deputy ambassador, Wang Xining, deserves thanks and even some praise for speaking to the National Press Club and taking unscripted questions from impertinent journalists.

Communist regime officials never have to do this at home and seldom do it abroad.

And his prepared speech was a mostly conciliatory, or at least not downright hostile, celebration of the Australia-China partnership, especially the economic partnership.

This is a sharp contrast to the Wolf Warrior style of Chinese diplomats recently and is welcome as far as it goes. But when it came to question time, the communist diplomat was confronted with facts not part of the party narrative.

As a result, he had to say ridiculous things that plainly do not correspond with reality. He sounded like a Soviet diplomat from the 1950s, trying forlornly to bend the truth to the mighty will of the party.

How can there be a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations when Australian cabinet ministers cannot get their phone calls returned by their Chinese counterparts, he was asked.

Oh, well, you see it’s been very busy at the time of the virus and anyway we are not aware of any unreturned phone calls, was the gist of his reply.

This is plainly ridiculous.

Simon Birmingham has complained long and loud about the refusal of his Chinese counterpart to pick up the phone or return his call.

Is the Chinese diplomat implying that Birmingham is suffering some kind of hallucination? …

And so on, example after example.

Mr Wang is a very capable diplomat but the Chinese state has never been able to work very effectively in a democratic context.

Democracies, you see, or at least their free citizens, have this stubborn attachment to reality.

Where would the extreme left be without extreme lying?

Morrison to tear up Victoria’s Belt and Road Initiative deal with Beijing

Morrison to tear up Victoria’s Belt and Road Initiative deal with Beijing, by Simon Benson.

Scott Morrison will legislate to tear up Victoria’s multi-million-dollar Belt and Road Initiative agreement with Beijing, creating laws that will also ban a raft of other deals with foreign governments found to be against the national interest.

In an unprecedented move against Chinese interference and the protection of state secrets, the use of external powers under the Constitution to direct state, territory and local governments on national security issues will effectively kill dozens of agreements with foreign governments and institutions.

Tim Blair:

Victoria is the only Australian state that signed a Ball and Chain agreement with China — and now the federal government is stepping in to end it.
