CNN’s Van Jones on Friday accused all white people of being racist, saying, “Even the most liberal, well-intentioned white person has a virus in his or her brain that can be activated at an instant.” …
“But the minute she sees a black man who she does not respect or who she has a slight thought against, she weaponized race like she had been trained by the Aryan Nation.”
The unsolvable conundrum: Different groups of people have different statistical properties. You can treat everybody the same, and we should. But, when you have almost no information about an individual, but know their group identity, what do you know?
For example, black men of military age kill about half the people murdered in the USA (FBI stats, look ’em up), but are only about 3% of the population. Statistically, they have a much larger propensity to kill than other groups.
The expectation that blacks will perform the same as whites in every single sphere of life is based on PC fantasies that all groups are statistically identical. They’re not. As millions of tests by the US Army since WWI prove, the black population in the USA has a significantly lower IQ than whites. Until the US comes to grips with that fact, the problems will continue.
Political correctness is to blame for the unrealistic expectations that has led to the this week’s riots.
