Confused Britons mock Boris Johnson’s ‘stay alert’ slogan and accuse No 10 of putting out ‘vague’ mixed messages by creating their own versions, by Joe Middleton.

Boris Johnson has decided to ditch the highly-effective ‘stay at home, protect the NHS, and save lives’ slogan in favour of a more nuanced ‘stay alert, control the virus, and save lives’.
