As world scrambles, experts warn virus spread in US certain, by Adam Geller.

U.S. health officials warned Tuesday that the burgeoning coronavirus is certain to spread more widely in the country at some point, even as their counterparts in Europe and Asia scrambled to contain new outbreaks of the illness.

“It’s not so much a question of if this will happen anymore, but rather more a question of exactly when this will happen — and how many people in this country will have severe illness,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a call with reporters.

European commissioner for health Stella Kyriakides also said borders should remain open while suggesting that the threat of “disinformation” was more of a concern.

The World Health Organization, whose job it is to stop a global pandemic, has repeatedly insisted that preventing stigmatization and keeping borders open is critical, to the point where they seem more concerned about that than actually stopping the pandemic.

The WHO is run by someone who probably owes the Chinese bigtime, so WHO might just be saying what the Chinese Government wants it to say.

The world stockmarkets have dropped about 10% since Friday, as the news that coronavirus is serious and is going global sinks in.
