Sounds like they got the bomber. It turns out the bomber was a dopey right wing guy.
No one was hurt, the bombs don’t work, and none went off.
However, be aware that the history of political violence actions has often involved setting up patsies — pinning the blame on some dumb, weird, suspicious-looking loner who is whisked off to prison or death. Someone who looks like they might have done it, a nutcase who doesn’t have enough resources or acumen to defend themselves, has no support network of relatives, friends or business associates to defend him, someone who won’t be missed. Which is exactly what we have here. If you were a dirty tricks operative, wouldn’t you first find a guy like this then make it look as if your hoax bombs came from him? Think Reichstag fire.
So just retain the possibility that it wasn’t this guy.
Who benefits? The US national narrative just before a close midterm election turned away from the caravan of illegal would-be immigrants from Honduras, and away from #JobsNotMobs, both of which favor the right. The media will now be smug that it was a right winger, not a left hoaxer, fitting their Trump-is-violence narrative.
UPDATE: The questions are beginning. Some stuff really does not fit the media narrative.
