Australian Senator slams feminists as “pathetic” for not supporting burqa ban, by Christine Douglass-Williams.
Australian Senator Pauline Hanson “slammed feminists as ‘pathetic’ for not supporting a ban on the burqa.”
The burqa has been banned in various countries on security grounds, or because it is inconsistent with Western values; sometimes it’s banned for both reasons. These countries have banned the burqa: France, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Bulgaria, China, Tajikistan, Morocco, Latvia, Cameroon, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, and Gabon. …
Hanson is no stranger to controversy and to defending Australian values, rule and order. After a 9-year-old girl’s recent refused to stand for the Australian national anthem at school, Hanson stated that the girl deserves “a kick up the backside” and to be expelled.
Last year Hanson “wore a burqa into the Senate chamber” to illustrate its absurdity.
