The editorial board of the Washington Post has declared that President Trump is “complicit” for Hurricane Florence because of his views on climate change.

The massive storm has not made landfall yet, but the Post published a column on Wednesday headlined, “Another hurricane is about to batter our coast. Trump is complicit.”

Of course. And when it is shown that the carbon dioxide theory of global warming is due to a modeling error made in the 1960s, who will be found to have been “complicit” in what tragedies then?

A ruling class that refused to conduct due diligence might be found to be complicit in wasting vast amounts of money, hindering under-developed countries by denying them cheap fossil-fuel electricity, a plethora of unnecessary windmills and rooftop solar, boring everyone to tears with endless international conferences and junkets, corruption, a global power grab, …
