Murtza Chaudhry and Arbaaz Hussain, both 21, Zeeshan Khalid, 20, and Tayyab Siddique, 22, died on Thursday after being pursued by police.

The enormity of the UK political establishment’s mistake regarding immigration in the last three decades is displayed in the pictures in this article. A large part of today’s politics is driven by the fact that they can’t bring themselves to admit it and have no idea what to do. Putting the politicians to one side, there’s now a truly enormous existential problem for Britain as, well, “Britain”.

For the time being, many can cling to what it was, to how things used to be. Because it’s still possible, if you’re in a non-Muslim area of the UK, to live exactly as you would if there’d never been any Muslim immigration to the UK. That’s how many reasonable and well-meaning white British people manage to reassure themselves that it’s really all ok and there isn’t a problem (and they have to think that, don’t they, because no-one’s allowed to say anything politically incorrect. What would their friends and neighbours say?).

In a generation from now this self deception won’t be possible.

Goodbye Britain.
