Supergirl to feature TV’s first transgender superhero

Supergirl to feature TV’s first transgender superhero, by the BBC.

Activist and actor Nicole Maines, who is transgender herself, will play the role of Nia Nal, who becomes known as Dreamer.

“It seems only fitting that we have a trans superhero for trans kids to look up to,” she said after the announcement at Comic Con in San Diego, California. …

In 2014, Nicole Maines and her family went to court after her school prevented her from using the girls’ toilet.

Transgenders represent a tiny sliver of the population, 0.6% or less (the usual PC inflation of numbers and fudging of definitions makes it hard to know). Why is this pushed relentlessly in the mainstream media?

Because it is important to acknowledge even small population sectors? Well what about deplorables? They only have one show on TV, Roseanne in the US, and Roseanne herself was recently sacked from the show — she says it was because she is a Trump supporter.

How many supporters of Trump in the US, or Nigel Farage in the UK, or Pauline Hanson in Australia, do you see portrayed in a positive light on TV or the movies? Zero.

It’s only PC mascot groups that get the positive showcasing — the rest of us are ignored. Very political.

I don’t doubt that the ratings will reflect the fact that it is total nonsense.

When are the idiot studios going to wake up to this?

There is a large audience that no longer watches movies or television because most of it is now PC garbage. Personally I don’t even own a television and I haven’t been to a movie in over a year. Mind you, I’ve never owned a television, but I did used to enjoy going to the movies.
