Mr Joyce is sitting on a primary vote of 43 per cent — compared to 65 per cent at the December 2 byelection — according to the poll of 1206 residents taken on Tuesday night.
Overall, 40 per cent of New England respondents said they were less inclined to vote for Mr Joyce given the revelations about his private life. The same proportion said they would have been less likely to vote for Mr Joyce had they known the details before last year’s byelection. ….
