Same-sex marriage: Frances Abbott fronts Yes Equality campaign ad

Same-sex marriage: Frances Abbott fronts Yes Equality campaign ad, by Rachel Blaxendale.

Tony Abbott has backed his daughter Frances’s right to express a “different view” after the 26-year-old fronted a marriage equality advertisement saying she’s voting Yes for fairness, love and family.

In the Australian Marriage Equality ad, Ms Abbott said she was very much hoping to be able to attend the wedding of her aunt, same-sex marriage advocate Christine Forster, and Ms Forster’s partner Virginia Edwards.

Where did Abbot’s daughter get these ideas? Presumably from our school system, university, and the media, rather than her parents, church, and community.
