Issa Rae at the Emmys: ‘I’m Rooting for Everybody Black’.
Ever noticed how blacks, latinos, aboriginals, women, homosexuals, Muslims, etc. are all encouraged to celebrate their identity — but not white straight men or Christians?
Imagine if someone at the Oscars had said “I’m rooting for everyone white“. Scandalous, no one could say it because they’d self-censor due to years of training, and the SWJ’s would go into ballistic outrage in less time than it takes to reach for their smartphones (made for them by white and Asian men, incidentally).
This outrageous racism and double standard is widely accepted now, because if you don’t go along with it there are consequences…
Race consciousness is PC for everyone except whites. It echoes the 1960s decolonization cries of “Africans for Africa, Asia for Asians” (and white countries for everybody).
PS: To those who try to wiggle out from condemning Issa Rae above as “racist” on semantic grounds: what do you call the prejudice (literally, pre-judgement) where you treat people differently based on their race?
