The new racism

The new racism. A reader comments:

I remember an old joke from my youth.

An older woman in a motel room calls the front desk and complains that she can see the couple across the yard making love in their room.

The manager goes to the woman’s room to investigate. He looks out the woman’s motel room window and notices that you can’t see the couple because the drapes are covering it.

The woman then remarks, “Well, stand on top of the chest of drawers.”

I think this sort of illustrates what seems to be going on now. If you are having to stand up on the chest of drawers to see it that is not racism. The word “racism” is used far too much today and it has lost its meaning. I think we all know racism when we see or hear it.
