She noted Mr Trump had donated his $US100,000 ($125,000) salary for the second quarter of the year to the Department of Education. “This is a president who is putting America before himself — I’m so proud of that.”

She also claimed that the US unemployment rate was at its lowest since 2001. “That is quite an incredible fact,” she said.

It is not, however, absolutely accurate. Unemployment was at 4.4 per cent last month. It was lower in May, at 4.3 per cent. It stood at 4.4 per cent in May 2007.
