Canberrans slugged with $580 increase for electricity and gas from July

Canberrans slugged with $580 increase for electricity and gas from July, by the ABC.

The average Canberra household will be forced to cough up an additional $580 for electricity and gas next financial year after ActewAGL raised its prices. …

The price hike reflects a 19 per cent increase in electricity prices and a 17 per cent increase in gas prices. …

ActewAGL has itself acknowledged that some Canberrans on lower incomes would struggle to make the higher payments.

All because of renewables. Electricity from coal costs 3 to 4 cents per kWh to produce, but because of renewables everyone in Australian now pays over 20 cents per kWh.

Our ruling class would not or could not check the climate  calculations; we all pay more.
