Universities back Muslim handshake rule, by Stefanie Balogh.
At least three of the nation’s leading universities are advising students to respect Muslims on campus by acknowledging followers of Islam are not permitted to shake hands with the opposite sex.
The information, which is designed to foster a greater understanding of “Muslim identities’’, is provided online for students at Adelaide’s Flinders University, Perth’s Curtin University and the University of Western Australia.
Identity politics is so inconsistent. Feminists demand to be treated like men, but rank sexism is demanded by the Koran — so which group gets priority and which group gets violated? Easy. This year Muslims are trendiest flavor, and women are so yesterday, even more so than gays (who Muslims also have a wee problem with).
Support seventh century ideology and feminism and gays? No problem for the left, because the real aim is to be in power, getting those taxpayer-funded benefits for the tribe.
