The Dutch prime ministerial front-runner said Christianity, Judaism and humanism all contribute to values on which the Netherlands thrives on.

He then hit out at Islam in his latest of a long line of criticisms against the religion.

The 53-year-old Freedom Party (PVV) leader, told USA Today: “Dutch values are based on Christianity, on Judaism, on humanism. Islam and freedom are not compatible.

“You see it in almost every country where it dominates. There is a total lack of freedom, civil society, rule of law, middle class; journalists, gays, apostates — they are all in trouble in those places.

“And we import it.”

Is the modern, Enlightened, free West compatible with any seventh century totalitarian ideology?
