NASA’s top climate scientist Gavin Schmidt has warned President-Elect Donald Trump that the planet just won’t stand for having a fully-fledged climate denier in the White House.
Good luck with that one, Gavin. Or “Toast” as we’ll shortly be calling you…
Unfortunately, Schmidt doesn’t feel so strongly on the issue that he is prepared to offer his resignation …
Schmidt’s principled position on skewing results is somewhat ironic given that skewing results is what he does best. Last year a German professor Dr. Friedrich Karl Ewert – a retired geologist and data computation expert – accused NASA GISS of having tampered with the raw data so extensively that it had effectively “invented” global warming. …
This chart, comparing the satellite temperature records with Schmidt’s adjusted version, gives you an idea of the scale of the climate fraud being committed by NASA GISS. …
By the way, the scary rise at the end in 2015 is just an El Nino, which causes a temporary redistribution of heat but no extra heat content. It has now subsided and the measured surface temperature has seen the fastest recorded fall ever in the last eight months (which, like the rise in 2015, is not significant).
This is not science. This is political activism of a kind unlikely to receive much support from the incoming presidential administration.
FLASHBACK: According to Bob Walker, who has advised Mr Trump on space policy, Nasa has been reduced to “a logistics agency concentrating on space station resupply and politically correct environmental monitoring”.
FLASHBACK: In the 1980s a Stanford laboratory I was part of ran a space shuttle mission (I wasn’t involved). The people I knew were scathing about the bureaucracy and inefficiency at NASA, complaining it was snarled in red-tape and that too many of the good people had left. They reckoned the future of space exploration was therefore with private industry. Looks like that is coming to pass. This rocket pictured above is run by Amazon, while the head of NASA has said Barack Obama told him to make “reaching out to the Muslim world” one of NASA’s top three priorities, along with inspiring children, and expanding international relationships. NASA no longer flies the Shuttle, has no replacement for it, and rents rides on Russian launchers.
