Average of last 9 days of polls, before the FBI reopened the Hillary email investigation.

Caveats: There are suspicions the polls are rigged. There is a massive enthusiasm gap in favor of Trump. Many voters who have never voted before are registering to vote for Trump, but the pollsters have likely missed most of them — the “monster vote“” Then there are the voters who won’t admit preferring Trump to a pollster because of the social and media climate, but in the privacy of the voting booth will reveal their preference. On the other hand, the Republican establishment favors Hillary and so the Republican machine is not helping Trump much to turn out the vote. And there is an unknown amount of vote fraud going on, as revealed by Democratic operative Robert Creamer in a recent sting operation. So who knows?

Last weekend ABC released a poll giving Mrs Clinton a 12-point national lead. The latest version of the same poll today had her at just a four point lead.
