A great ad for Hillary Clinton is a horrible admission of the reality that a lot of people would like to just be able to vote for Obama again. By Ann Althouse.

Hillary is a unique awful candidate. No wonder the Democrats are promoting Obama again.

Interesting too that they dismiss all the problems away as “by so many measures, our country is stronger and more prosperous than it was eight years ago”. True, but only in a lawyerly, wordsmithing way. Also, by many other measures, it is worse — and that is omitted. Notice they do not even claim that “on the whole” there is improvement, so it is really quite vacuous.

All is sold as just “progress,” which is only defined as ending “discrimination.” Trump is labelled as merely reactive, opposing “progress.” Suitably vague.

And of course there is utterly no hint of immigration, Islam, or terrorism. The ad is very light on details because the details will not suit Hillary; only warm emotionalism, association with Obama, and fighting “discrimination.”
