Unsurprisingly, the Washington Post is enraged, along with the rest of the mainstream media, and is doing all it can to discredit and defeat Trump.

The significance of Trump is that he opposes the current global elite, not that he is a traditional small-government conservative (which he isn’t):

When you travel to the US the immigration form you have to fill in asks whether you are a communist or a Nazi. The US has been ideologically vetting people for decades.
