Hanson’s One Nation wins two Queensland senate seats, by the ABC.
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson’s election to the Senate has been confirmed, bringing with her a party colleague Malcolm Roberts.
What is interesting about this is that Malcolm Roberts is an outspoken climate skeptic, and the first climate skeptic to be in a position to influence power. He did a masters degree in business administration at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
Although diluted somewhat by the large size of the Senate cross-bench, the four One Nation votes might mean he can push for an inquiry into the science — there’s never been one, it’s all “secret climate business,” and people would be dismayed to learn that the whole carbon dioxide theory is all based on some simple flawed modeling (that is, it’s only theoretical) and is contradicted by crucial empirical evidence about water vapor.
