Australia used to make a lot of money selling iron ore and coal to China.  These days not so much because we are selling our minerals at near their production cost.

Having built up its economy, China is now an autistic bully intent on humiliating its neighbours and making the rest of the planet defer to it.  China won’t be happy until it is recognized as number one.  There will be plenty of tears shed until it abandons that ambition.  This is an update on the state of affairs.
