Sociologists in the US have concluded that men who stay at home and don’t fulfil the stereotype of the male breadwinner don’t get extra brownie points for their hospital corners and nurturing skills.

In fact, they are at greater risk of divorce than men who go out to work full-time. Women who stayed at home did not experience the same increased likelihood.
