To coexist peacefully, Muslims must give way in any clash of values, by Gary Johns.
Sonia Kruger, co-host of the Nine Network’s Today Extra, set the cat among the doves yesterday when she said, “Personally, I would like to see it (Muslim migration) stop now for Australia.”
As Fabio Scalia put it in a letter to the editor in The Australian yesterday, “You can’t win a war while continuing to import the enemy.” …
[I]f there were no Muslims in Australia would there be a threat of Islamic terrorism? …
Australian governments have always assumed that migrants would accept the broad assumptions of liberal democracy as the price of making Australia their home. They rarely demanded migrants accept these assumptions; there seemed little need.
That assumption does not apply to many Muslims. Islam has not changed since its seventh century Arab beginnings, and is uniquely impervious to change. Apostates and unbelievers are killed.
Those of the Islamic faith, among all potential migrants to Australia, are most likely to remain Balkanised and illiberal, and most liable to incite systemic violence in the host society.
