Bookseller cannot put Andrew Bolt’s new book on display in his shops for fear of causing upset to his staff

Bookseller cannot put Andrew Bolt’s new book on display in his shops for fear of causing upset to his staff, by Andrew Bolt.

Because of the implicit violence by the politically correct:

A shopping tip: a prominent bookseller has said he cannot put my book on display in his shops for fear of causing upset to his staff, and so has stocked it discreetly at the back. Another shop seems to have made the same call, given that the book is stocked out of sight.

So you will have to do what a shopper told me they did, and actually ask if it’s in stock. Bring a brown paper bag, or, better still, order it on line and save yourself the hassle and the bookseller mortification to their ideological sensitivities.

No doubt the book staff involved would say they are in favor of free speech, love books, and would be mortified to be thought of as censorious anti-intellectuals  — it’s just that they make an exception for speech that disagrees with their beliefs (aka “hate speech”). Charming. At least they are not burning books yet, but if current trends continue that cannot be long.
