UPDATE: Newspoll: One in four voters may spurn voting for major parties. A record 15 per cent of voters plan to cast their ballot for a micro-party or independent candidate — such as David Leyonhjelm above, in the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), who is campaigning for a 20% flat tax on income and companies, abolition of import tariffs and the scrapping of taxes on alcohol, tobacco and fuel.
