SHOWDOWN: EU Vows To Use New Powers To Block All Elected ‘Far Right’ Populists From Power, by Liam Deacon.
The President of the unelected executive arm of the European Union (EU) has vowed to block all right wing populists from power across the continent, shortly after acquiring the power to exert “far-reaching sanctions” on elected governments.
Jean-Claude Juncker, the president of the European Commission, promised to exclude Norbert Hofer, the leader of Austria’s Freedom Party (FPÖ), from all EU decision-making if elected ahead of yesterday’s presidential vote.
Hofer was narrowly beaten. How many Austrians voted against him because he and thus Austria would have been excluded from these decisions? This is clearly meddling in the internal affairs of a country.
The [European] Commission can now trigger a “rule of law mechanism” (Article 7 TEU) against nations it perceives as deviating from “the common constitutional traditions of all Member States.” Ultimately, “far-reaching sanctions” can be exerted, and a country can be stripped of all voting rights in the EU and have funding blocked.
PC is becoming ever stronger, more brazen, and more extreme. Throughout the western world. Increasingly, the politics of different Western nations are interacting— witness all the meddling of one country’s leaders in the domestic politics of other nations, such as Obama weighing in on Brexit, or this arrogant declaration by the EU that it will ignore democratically elected European governments if they aren’t socially and ideologically like them.
The US election is essentially about political correctness. Trump’s main policy is to oppose political correctness, while Clinton is the corrupt queen of PC. The establishment in nearly every western country has been almost entirely captured by the PC, so the battle of PC vs. non-PC looks like establishment versus outsiders.
The Australian election is so boring because both main contenders are PC — there is nothing much at stake, no prospect of real change.
As we detail here on the Wentworth Report, PC policies are causing immense harm to the native populations of the West, particularly on immigration, Islam, sex, marriage, families, banking, debt and the concentration of wealth, and global warming. The West will be weakened fundamentally and permanently if these PC policies are allowed to continue for a few more years. The need to kick out the politically correct from power has became urgent if we are to preserve the features of our societies that made the so successful.
A lot of trends are coming to a head simultaneously — immigration and Islam are real threats now, the world’s debt load is going to break from stagnation into either depression or significant inflation, and global cooling is about to give the lie to the power grab via climate. The next decade will be interesting.
