‘Not part of Germany’: German right-wing AfD party adopts anti-Islamic manifesto

‘Not part of Germany’: German right-wing AfD party adopts anti-Islamic manifesto. The AfD slams Islam as incompatible with the country’s constitution and calls for a ban on Islamic symbols.

The manifesto which the party is now putting forward has a section dubbed ‘Islam is not part of Germany,’ twisting a phrase often used by Chancellor Merkel, who said on many occasions that Islam belongs to Germany and that freedom of religion for all is guaranteed by the country’s constitution.

Merkel and the politically correct are wrong because Islam is a religion and a totalitarian political ideology. While religious freedom is good, totalitarian political movements are incompatible with Western tradition and democracy — as Germany knows all too well. The usual question arises: in not seeing this obvious fact, are Merkel and co. being stupid or evil?
