People have taken to social media to campaign to make Elsa Disney’s first LGBT hero.

Frozen is arguably Disney’s most progressive animated hit yet. For once the animation giant decided to bin the “princess breaks a spell after finding true love with a prince” trope to focus on sisterly love and women empowerment.

Now, with Frozen 2 in production, the public are asking Disney to take one step further and make one of its leading characters gay.

Obviously Elsa should not do the standard fall-for-the-prince stuff, but fall in love with a woman, preferably a black one. Maybe a black Muslim? Note the headscarf in one drawing by twitter activists hankering for relevance. Should be a big hit at the box office….
